This is a soft cover binding method also called paperback or soft back. Groups of pages are bound together using adhesive to create a crisp, clean, quality product.
Loop Stitching
The same as saddle stitching but instead with one, two, three or four loops so that the book can be inserted into a ring binder. Loop bound inserts lie flat in a binder which provides greater functionality.
Wire-o-Binding
Holes are punched along the spine of a book and a C shaped wire is inserted and closed using our closing machine. This binds the pages securely together but also enables the pages to turn 360 degrees.
This method is useful for cookery books, manuals, reference books and note pads.
Half- Canadian Binding
This method conceals the wire coil at the front and along the documents spine using a wrap-around card cover. A subtle curve of the wire coil is visible on the back cover. Half canadian binding gives the look of a traditional bound book with the flexibility of the wire.
Spiral Bound
The pages of a book or document are punched along one side and fastened together by a spiral of wire or plastic that coils through the holes including the front and back covers. Coil bound books are held together securely amd the book can be opened fully and folded back upon itself without causing damage to the book. As little as a few pages to large volume books can be bound this way. Coils come in many colours and do not damage when crushed.
Full-Canadian Binding
This method uses a wire spine with a wrap-around card cover. This gives the book a finished look with no spine visible, while still retaining the 'layflat', flexible properties of a wire bound document.
Saddle Stitch
Saddle Stitching is a very common binding method for short to medium sized books, magazines, booklets, newsletters and more. The pages are attached together by placing staples through the fold.
Ring Binding
The pages are printed, hole punched and attached to 2 or 4 rings inside the binder.
Your ring binder can be printed with a customisable front cover and spine. This is a useful option when documents need to be regularly updated.
Case Binding
Case binding produces a hard back book which is long lasting and robust.
This can be sewn or bound with a glued binding. These books can also have a jacket or a printed cover.
Section Sewing
A very strong binding method. The page sections are sewn together and then glued to the cover. The pages cannot be separated easily making it the most durable.
Section sewn books can then be finished with a limp or hard back cover.
